The Hope and Destiny Crusade in Dominican Republic not only helped Teen Challenge Santiago to forge a dynamic relationship with church and community leaders, but offered hope, healing, and the power of God to addicts and their families across the island. It was wonderful to be joined by Duane Henders the Latin American Caribbean Representative for Global Teen Challenge and Mike Zello. Thousands of lives were impacted by the powerful music and ministry. The police department declared that the final night of the crusade was the largest concert gathering in the history of the city of Santiago.

The ministry here in Santiago continues powerfully. We will be streaming the ministry live on line tonight at 7:30 (if it is blank come back at 8:00)-things tend to run late in Dominican Republic. Tens of thousands have showed up. The Police last night reported that it was the largest crowd ever at the monument exceeding even the largest secular bands. |
Tonight the crowd is expect to swell to well over 20,000. The great thing is that the crowd is 70% of the crowd is young people and over 1,000 have crowded the altar to receive Christ. Tonight we will pray for Julio Volcy, the new Executive Director identified by Minnesota Teen Challenge for the men's center to be launched in Delmuas, Port Au Prince . . . It has been a delight to work with Nellie and Jose Martinez. The Students at Santiago are a true delight. What an honor to direct the choir for their graduation service last night. The new Men's facility is wonderful and they are working on a new larger women's home.
The new property purchased for the projected Caribbean School of Ministry is an outstanding value and they are currently using it for self sustain agricultural project right now. Rock the Block and
Pastor Jimmy Jack have been ministering around the world. It is exciting to be back at the Santiago FREEDOM Monument for this 3 days of power-packed music, testimony and ministry in the WORD. The team of Jocelyn Areas, J-Crue, JAZ, the Rock the Block Dancers, and Pastor Jimmy Jack ministering real freedom and legitimate life change as we see God move. |

It was great to attend Press Forward, the Teen Challenge USA National Conference. It was an exciting time of ministry, fellowship, and worship. I had a wonderful time rekindling friendships built over 30 years of Teen Challenge Ministry Over 300 came together to celebrate the continuing miracles of 52 years of Teen Challenge Ministry of United States. Teen Challenge USA now has over 200 residential Centers with over 7,000 beds in the United States.
Current President Mike Hodges is moving on to new ministry challenges, Rev. Jack Smart, who has served faithfully at Mid America Teen Challenge in Cape Girardeau, Missouri for several decades will be taking the reins as the president of Teen Challenge USA.

| One of the highlights of the conference was seeing the mantle of leadership pass to Jack Smart as Bro Mike Hodges laid his hands on him. The following day, as Bro Smart washed the feet of Teen Challenge leaders and a student, his servant's heart came through.
